To provide a technology capable of eliminating radar noise points in various situations.SOLUTION: A roadside object recognition device 200 includes: a reflection point acquiring part 222 for acquiring a reflection point group constituted by reflection points of the electromagnetic waves from an object present in the traveling route by using a radar 414 that emitting electromagnetic waves that are radio waves or light; an image acquisition part 224 for acquiring an image of the travel route by using a camera 412; a reflection point correction part 226 for correcting the reflection point group by excluding from the reflection point group a reflection point determined to be highly unlikely to be a reflection point of the roadside object by image processing of the image; and a shape recognition part 228 for recognizing a shape of the roadside object by using the corrected reflection point group.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
