To suppress generation of noise or vibration as much as possible following a rotational stop in a control system for stopping the rotation of an internal combustion engine by applying motor reverse torque.SOLUTION: An internal combustion engine control system comprises a control unit that selectively inputs torque of the rotational direction of an internal combustion engine and the reverse direction thereof to the internal combustion engine by a motor driving force, and can control the size of the torque. The control unit executes forcible stop processing for inputting the reverse torque to the internal combustion engine, thereby stopping rotation of the internal combustion engine. The control unit reduces the reverse torque at a prescribed timing before when the reverse torque becomes prescribed torque from the start of executing the forcible stop processing to be smaller when the forcible stop processing is executed after completion of executing a prescribed monitoring processing than when the forcible stop processing is executed without executing the prescribed monitoring processing.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7

    【課題】本発明は、モータによる逆トルクを付与して内燃機関を回転停止させる制御システムにおいて、該回転停止に伴うノイズや振動の発生を可及的に抑制することを目的とする。【解決手段】内燃機関に対して、モータの駆動力によって該内燃機関の回転方向及びその逆方向のトルクを選択的に入力するとともに、該トルクの大きさを制御可能な制御部を備え、制御部が、内燃機関に対して逆トルクを入力する強制停止処理を実行することによって、内燃機関の回転が停止される、内燃機関の制御システムにおいて、制御部は、所定のモータリング処理の実行の完了後に強制停止処理を実行する場合には、所定のモータリング処理を実行せずに強制停止処理を実行する場合よりも、強制停止処理の実行を開始してから逆トルクが所定トルクになる前の所定タイミングにおける逆トルクを小さくする。【選択図】図7
