To provide a congestion analyzer and a congestion analysis method that can reduce a calculation load and predict congestion at a plurality of stations in a route at high speed.SOLUTION: A congestion analyzer 1 includes: a cell-model-based simulation unit 13 for executing a simulation by using a cell model and number-of-persons information data to obtain congestion in a station yard as congestion prediction information; an initial network model creating unit 12 for creating a network model corresponding to the cell model; a network model correcting unit 14 for correcting a network model on the basis of the congestion prediction information obtained by the cell-model-based simulation unit 13; a network-model-based simulation unit 15 for executing simulation on the basis of the corrected network model to obtain congestion in the station yard as congestion prediction information; and a display unit 16 for displaying the congestion prediction information obtained by the network-model-based simulation unit 15.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
