To make both compatible in an improvement in productivity and an improvement in quality such as molding accuracy and joining strength, in a vehicle body member of a vehicle composed of a plurality of mutually overlapped plate materials.SOLUTION: A manufacturing method executes a joining process of forming a joining plate material 110 by joining a second plate material 130 to a first plate material 120 by welding in a plurality of places including mutually separately arranged first joining part W1 and second joining part W2, a molding process of press-molding the joining pate material 110 so as to form ridge lines R1 and R2 of crossing with a virtual segment of joining the first joining part W1 and the second joining part W2 in an overlapping part of the first plate material 120 and the second plate material 130 and a preparation process of forming a displacement promotion part for promoting relative displacement of the second plate material 130 to the first plate material 120 in the length direction of the virtual segment in a part corresponding to between the first joining part W1 and the second joining part W2 in the second plate material 130 before the joining proces.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4

    【課題】相互に重ね合わされた複数の板材からなる車両の車体部材に関して、生産性の向上と、成形精度および接合強度などの品質の向上との両立を図る。【解決手段】互いに離間して配置された第1接合部W1および第2接合部W2を含む複数箇所での溶接によって、第2板材130を第1板材120に接合して、接合板材110を形成する接合工程と、第1板材120と第2板材130とが重なり合う部分に、第1接合部W1と第2接合部W2とを結ぶ仮想線分に交差する稜線R1,R2が形成されるように、接合板材110をプレス成形する成形工程と、前記接合工程の前に、第2板材130における第1接合部W1と第2接合部W2との間に相当する部分に、仮想線分の長さ方向において第1板材120に対する第2板材130の相対変位を促進する変位促進部を形成する準備工程とを行う。【選択図】図4
