To provide a boom with lightweight and excellent wear resistance.SOLUTION: A boom 20 is constituted into a nesting shape by an outer boom member 30 and an inner boom member 40. The outer boom member 30 has a sliding plate 32 to slidably support the inner boom member 40 in the boom 20, and the inner boom member 40 is composed of a wear resistant material 41 installed on the position in contact with the slide plate 32 and of an FRP material 42 installed on the position in no-contact with the slide plate 32.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
