To provide a rubber composition and a vulcanized rubber capable of giving a tire excellent in balance between on-ice performance and wear resistance performance, and to provide a tire excellent in balance between on-ice performance and wear resistance performance.SOLUTION: The rubber composition contains: a rubber component; at least one thickener selected from the group consisting of karaya gum, tamarind seed gum, locust bean gum, xanthan gum and guar gum in an amount of 0.5 pt.mass or more and less than 10 pts.mass based on 100 pts.mass of the rubber component; a filler; a foaming agent; and a vulcanizing agent.SELECTED DRAWING: None
