To provide a return mechanism which is applied to an electrically-driven braking device and adopts a spiral spring, in which torque limit works properly.SOLUTION: An electrically-driven braking device comprises: an electric motor which presses a friction member onto a rotary member which is rotated integrally with a wheel; and a return mechanism which generates a return torque to the electric motor in a direction in which the friction member is separated from the rotary member when electric conduction of the electric motor is not performed. The return mechanism includes: "a spiral spring having a restraining part which is formed in such a manner that one end portion thereof is engaged with a rotary shaft driven by the electric motor, and the other end portion thereof, which is positioned on a side opposite to one end, is folded"; and a housing which stores the spiral spring, and has an inhibition face which contacts the restraining part. The other end is so configured as to be positioned on a side opposite to an axis with respect to an extension surface in which the inhibition face is so extended as to approach the axis.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6

    【課題】 電動制動装置に適用され、渦巻きばねを採用した戻し機構において、トルクリミットが適切に作動するものを提供する。【解決手段】 電動制動装置は、車輪と一体となって回転する回転部材に摩擦部材を押し付ける電気モータと、電気モータに通電が行われない場合に、電気モータに対して、摩擦部材が回転部材から離れる方向の戻しトルクを発生する戻し機構と、を備える。戻し機構は、「一方端の部分が、電気モータによって駆動される回転シャフトに係止され、一方端とは反対側に位置する他方端の部分が折り曲げられて形成された拘束部を有する渦巻きばね」と、渦巻きばねを収納し、拘束部と接触する制止面を有するハウジングと、を含んでいる。そして、他方端は、制止面を軸線に近付くように延ばした延長面に対して、軸線とは反対側に位置するよう構成されている。【選択図】 図6
