To provide a wheel speed estimation device that is able to calculate a correct wheel speed in a case where left and right rear wheel engagements are completely restrained during straight advancing of a four-wheel drive vehicle.SOLUTION: A wheel speed estimation device is applied to a four-wheel drive vehicle comprising a first coupling device and a second coupling device by which engagement between left and right rear wheel axles of a rear-wheel-side drive output unit can be changed to one of a completely restrained state, a released state, and an incompletely restrained state, for drive torque generated by a drive source. This device comprises: a correction parameter calculation unit by which a correction parameter Ki that changes according to a degree of influence of a difference between respective wheel diameters ri of the wheels on wheel speed of each wheel is calculated for each wheel on the basis of all of wheel rotation speed signals; and a wheel speed calculation unit that calculates the wheel speed on the basis of each of the wheel rotation speed signals and each of the correction parameters Ki. A correction parameter calculation unit stops calculation of the correction parameters Ki in a case where at least one of the left and right engagements is in the incompletely restrained state.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4

    【課題】四輪駆動車両の直進中において左右の後輪係合状態が完全拘束状態である場合に、正しい車輪速度を算出する車輪速度推定装置を提供する。【解決手段】駆動源が発生する駆動トルクが、後輪側の駆動出力部左右の後輪車軸及びとの間の係合状態を、完全拘束状態と、解放状態と、不完全拘束状態と、の何れかに変更可能な第1カップリング装置及び第2カップリング装置を備える四輪駆動車両に適用される。各車輪のそれぞれの車輪径riの差が各車輪の車輪速度に及ぼす影響の程度に応じて変化する補正パラメータKiを車輪回転速度信号の全てに基づいて各車輪に対して算出する補正パラメータ算出部と、車輪回転速度信号のそれぞれと、補正パラメータKiのそれぞれとに基づいて車輪速度を演算する車輪速度演算部とを備え、補正パラメータ算出部は、左右の係合状態の少なくとも一方が不完全拘束状態である場合に補正パラメータKiの算出を停止する。【選択図】図4
