To provide an electric parking brake capable of releasing a braking state even when an abnormality occurs in a motor.SOLUTION: A lock pin of an electric parking brake includes a first member with which a first spring has been connected and which has a first engaging part, and a second member with which a second spring has been connected. When prescribed electric power is supplied to a solenoid actuator with the lock pin and a gear in an engaged state, the first and second members approach the gear, and at least the second member releases the engaged state by pressing a tooth of the gear to rotate the gear in a braking direction. When the electric power supply is stopped thereafter, the first and second members are respectively separated from the gear by restoring force caused by the first and second springs. In doing so, the first member moves faster than the second member, and while the second member is regulating rotation of the gear in a brake releasing direction, the first member moves again to a position that does not place it in the engaged state, and the second member separates from the gear thereafter, thus releasing a braking state.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

    【課題】モータに異常が発生した場合でも、制動状態を解除できる電動パーキングブレーキを提供する。【解決手段】電動パーキングブレーキのロックピンは、第1のバネが接続され第1の係合部を有する第1の部材と、第2のバネが接続された第2の部材とを含む。ロックピンとギヤとの係合状態において、ソレノイドアクチュエータに所定の電力を供給すると、第1および第2の部材は、ギヤに近づき、少なくとも第2の部材が、ギヤの歯を押圧してギヤを制動方向に回転させ係合状態を解除する。その後電力供給を停止すると、第1および第2の部材が、それぞれ第1および第2のバネによる復元力によってギヤから離れる。この際、第1の部材が第2の部材より速く移動し、第2の部材がギヤの制動解除方向への回転を規制している間に、第1の部材が再び係合状態とならない位置まで移動し、その後第2の部材がギヤから離れて、制動状態が解除される。【選択図】図1
