To allow an underwater travelling vessel to travel without generating acoustic noise in ultrasonic range by operating a motor.SOLUTION: An underwater propulsion device 1 includes: a casing 3 provided in the rear side of a machine body 12 of an underwater travelling body 2; a motor 4; a driving side rubber retaining unit 6 attached to an output shaft 5 of the same; a propeller shaft 7; a propeller 8; a following side rubber retaining unit 9 attached to the propeller shaft 7; rubber 10 hung between respective rubber retaining units 6, 9; and a controller 11. The controller 11 winds the rubber 10 by operating the motor 4 when wound number of the rubber 10 becomes below a set minimum wound number of times and stops operation of the motor 4 when the wound number of the rubber 10 becomes greater than the set maximum number of times. Travelling of the underwater travelling body 2 is carried out by rotating the propeller 8 by restitutive force of the rubber 10 being wound back for the period while the motor 4 is stopped.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

    【課題】 モータの運転による超音波領域の音響ノイズを発生させずに水中航走体を航走させる。【解決手段】 水中推進装置1は、水中航走体2の機体12の後部に備えたケーシング3と、モータ4と、その出力軸5に取り付けた駆動側ゴム保持部6と、プロペラ軸7と、プロペラ8と、プロペラ軸7に取り付けられた従動側ゴム保持部9と、各ゴム保持部6,9の間に掛けられたゴム10と、制御装置11とを備えた構成とする。制御装置11は、ゴム10の巻き数が設定された最小巻き数未満になると、モータ4を運転してゴム10を巻き、ゴム10の巻き数が設定された最大巻き数以上になると、モータ4の運転を停止する。モータ4を停止している期間は、ゴム10が巻き戻るときの復元力によりプロペラ8を回転させて、水中航走体2の航走を行う。【選択図】図1
