To improve reliability of an alarm sound generating device.SOLUTION: An alarm sound generating device 10 comprises two alarm sound generating circuits 12 which, on receiving a ringing condition signal given from outside, alternately and repeatedly output sound wave data that make speakers in a railway crossing generate one time prescribed sound constituting an alarm sound. Therefore, during normal time, alarm sounds composed of the repeated prescribed sounds are pronounced, but when one of the two alarm sound generating circuits 12 fails, sound wave data are not output from the failed alarm sound generating circuit 12. In other word, the alarm sound changes from continuously repeated prescribed sounds to intermittently repeated prescribed sounds and there occurs a change of alarm sounds clearly recognized by a passerby or the like. Accordingly, as the failure of the alarm sound generating device can be detected by a passerby or the like easily, the safety management of the alarm sound generating device 10 can be carried out completely, and reliability can be improved.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

    【課題】警報音発生装置の信頼性を向上させる。【解決手段】警報音発生装置10は、外部から与えられる鳴動条件信号を受けて、踏切警報機のスピーカに対して、警報音を構成する1回の所定音を発音させる音波形データを交互に繰り返し出力する、2つの警報音発生回路12を含んでいる。このため、正常時には、所定音の繰り返しで構成される警報音がスピーカから発音され、2つの警報音発生回路12のうち一方が故障すると、その一方の警報音発生回路12から音波形データが出力されなくなる。すなわち、警報音が、所定音が連続して繰り返される音から、所定音が断続的に繰り返される音へと変化し、通行人等によっても明らかに認識可能な警報音の変化が生じる。従って、通行人等によっても装置の故障が容易に発見されるため、警報音発生装置10の安全管理をより万全に行うことができ、信頼性を向上させることが可能となる。【選択図】図1
