To provide a space environment testing device and a liquid nitrogen recovery method for the space environment testing device, that allow liquid nitrogen to be effectively recovered without adding equipment such as a pump.SOLUTION: A space environment testing device 1 includes: a shroud 7 which receives a supply of liquid nitrogen from a liquid nitrogen supply device 5 and is cooled; and a discharged liquid reservoir 9 which stores liquid nitrogen discharged from the shroud 7. The space environment testing device cools the shroud 7 using a one-through method. The space environment testing device is equipped with: a supply pipe 11 for supplying liquid nitrogen from the liquid nitrogen supply device 5 to the shroud 7; a discharge pipe 13 for discharging the liquid nitrogen having cooled the shroud 7 to the discharged liquid reservoir 9; a recovery pipe 15 for connecting the discharged liquid reservoir 9 with the supply pipe 11 and recovering the liquid nitrogen in the discharged liquid reservoir 9 to the liquid nitrogen supply device 5; an on-off valve 17 provided in the recovery pipe 15; and a gaseous nitrogen supply part 19 for supplying gaseous nitrogen pressurized in the discharged liquid reservoir 9.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
