To provide a road traffic information processing technique capable of further improving an estimation accuracy of feature points such as a traffic jam generation start point and a traffic jam resolution start point on a time-space plane.SOLUTION: In a time-space plane, an inflection point extraction unit 11 extracts a deceleration inflection point and an intensification inflection point from at least a part of a plurality of trajectories representing a time series of each position of a plurality of moving objects X. The deceleration inflection point indicates that a speed has been reduced due to the moving object X entering a traffic jam. The acceleration inflection point indicates that a speed has increased due to the moving object X having escaped the traffic jam. A representative point setting unit 12 sets a representative point of a designated inflection point among the plurality of inflection points. On the basis of the representative points, a feature point estimation unit 13 estimates feature points that demarcate a free flow area and a congested flow area in the time-space plane.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3

    【課題】時間−空間平面において、渋滞発生起点および渋滞解消起点などの特徴点の推定精度のさらなる向上を図りうる道路交通情報処理技術を提供する。【解決手段】屈曲点抽出部11により、時間−空間平面において、複数の移動体Xのそれぞれの位置の時系列を表わす複数の軌跡のうち少なくとも一部の軌跡から減速屈曲点および増速屈曲点が抽出される。「減速屈曲点」は、移動体Xが渋滞に進入したことにより速度が低下したことを表わす。「増速屈曲点」は、移動体Xが渋滞から脱出したことにより速度が上昇したことを表わす。代表点設定部12により、複数の屈曲点のうち指定屈曲点の代表点が設定される。特徴点推定部13により、代表点に基づき、時間−空間平面において「自由流領域」および「渋滞流領域」の境界を画定する特徴点が推定される。【選択図】 図3
