To provide a pneumatic tire having improved durability while maintaining or enhancing good handling stability.SOLUTION: The present invention relates to a pneumatic tire including an outer apex formed using a rubber composition. The rubber composition has a thermal conductivity of 0.60 W/m K or more, and comprises, per 100 pts.mass of a rubber component, 1-3 pts.mass of a crosslinkable resin, 3-55 pts.mass of pitch-based carbon fiber and/or 2-35 pts.mass of graphite, and 40-100 pts.mass of carbon black.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
