To shield a wheel radiation sound by a simple method without adversely affecting constitution elements of a railroad and improve an exposure situation of the wheel radiation sound along a railroad line.SOLUTION: A wheel radiation sound shielding device includes an injection nozzle 38 injecting gas having higher acoustic impedance density than that of the air at the outside of a wheel 11 in the vehicle width direction so as to cover at least a part of the wheel 11. An air flow F is formed by the gas injected from the injection nozzle 38 so that a wheel radiation sound S1 is reflected by the air flow F inward in the vehicle width direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
