To calculate water quantity in a ballast tank with higher accuracy.SOLUTION: The underwater equipment has a ballast tank 10, a pressure sensor 12 to obtain information related to the gas pressure in the ballast tank 10, a temperature sensor 13 to obtain information related to the gas temperature, a water-level acquisition unit to obtain information related to the water-level including the pressure sensor 11, a water quantity calculation unit 21 to calculate the volume of the water in the ballast tank from the first and the second method, where the first method is to calculate the volume of the water W from the information related to the gas pressure, the information related to the gas temperature and information related to the gas in the ballast tank at a reference state, and the second method is to calculate the volume of the water W from information related to the water-level, and has a reference updating unit 22 to update information related to the gas in the ballast tank at the reference state using the information related to the gas pressure, the information related to the gas temperature and the calculated result of the volume of the water W in the ballast tank 10 by the first and the second method.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
