To make thermal characteristics (a temperature distribution) excellent (uniform) with respect to a wet multiple disc clutch usable for the transmission etc., of an automobile, according to the present invention.SOLUTION: A clutch pack 50 consists of a plurality of drive plates 52 and a plurality of driven plates 54. A drive plate 52 gas a clutch facing 55 fixed on one face, and an annular groove 58 formed on the opposite face over the overall periphery, and a driven plate 54 has a clutch facing 56 fixed on one face, and an annular groove 59 formed on the opposite face over the overall periphery. Respective slide surfaces of the clutch facings 55, 56 of the drive and driven plates 52, 54 having the annular grooves 58, 59 are held between the adjacent clutch facings 55, 56 during clutch fastening to make axial thermal conduction discontinuous, and the annular grooves 58, 59 make radius-directional thermal conduction discontinuous in the regions thereof in combination with gathering of clutch oil there so as to prevent frictional heat being confined thereto, thereby making a temperature distribution of a clutch plate uniform.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 9

    【課題】本発明は、自動車のトランスミッション等に使用することができる湿式多板クラッチに関し、熱特性の良好化(温度分布の均一化)を実現することを目的とする。【解決手段】クラッチパック50は複数のドライブプレート52と、複数のドリブンプレート54とから成り、ドライブプレート52は片面にクラッチフェーシング55を固着し、反対側面に全周に亘り環状溝58を形成し、ドリブンプレート54は片面にクラッチフェーシング56を固着し、反対側面に全周に亘り環状溝59を形成する。クラッチ締結時環状溝58, 59を形成したドライブプレート52, 54のクラッチフェーシング56, 55との各摺動面は隣接するクラッチフェーシング55, 56間に挟着され、軸方向熱伝導は不連続化され、環状溝58, 59ははそこにクラッチ油が溜まることと相まって半径方向の熱伝動をその部位において不連続化し、摩擦熱が中央部に篭ることを防止し、クラッチ板の温度分布を均一化する。【選択図】 図9
