To provide a front seat airbag device, a control method of the front seat airbag device, and an airbag folding method that can secure occupant restraining performance at the time of a front collision in both the case where a front seat faces frontward and the case where the front seat faces rearward.SOLUTION: A front seat airbag device 10 is configured to include an inflator 12, a main chamber 16, and a head top chamber 18. The inflator 12 is activated and generates gas when a front collision of a vehicle is detected or predicted. The main chamber 16 is stored in the front of a front seat 102 in the vehicle and is inflated/deployed due to a supply of gas from the inflator 12. Also, the main chamber 16 is inflated/deployed to a position opposite to the front seat. The head top chamber 18 is inflated/deployed from the upper end of the main chamber 16 to both the upper and rear sides of the vehicle.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
