To provide a buffer which achieves improvement of flexibility of setting of spring force of a spring member for biasing a valve body of a control valve.SOLUTION: A buffer includes a control valve which controls flow of a fluid generated at the inner side of a cylinder to generate damping force by movement of a piston which is slidably fitted in the cylinder. The control valve has: a valve body and a valve seat which cooperate to form an opening/closing part of a passage; an actuator which generates force for moving the valve body in response to electric current; and a spring device 60 which biases the valve body in a direction opposing a movement direction by the actuator. The spring device has: a spring member 60 having a first spring part 60b and a second spring part 60c; and a restriction part which restricts spring displacement of the first spring part 60b when the spring member 60 is displaced greater than a predetermined magnitude of displacement.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

    【課題】本発明の目的は、制御弁の弁体を付勢するばね部材のばね力設定の自由度を向上した緩衝器を提供することにある。【解決手段】シリンダの内側に摺動可能に嵌装されたピストンの移動によって前記シリンダの内側に生じる流体の流れを制御して減衰力を発生させる制御弁を備え、前記制御弁は、協働して流路の開閉部を形成する弁体及び弁座と、電流に対応して前記弁体を移動させる力を発生するアクチュエータと、前記弁体を前記アクチュエータによる移動方向に対向する方向に付勢するばね装置60と、を有する緩衝器において、ばね装置は、第一ばね部60bと第二ばね部60cとを有するばね部材60と、ばね部材60の所定以上のばね変位に対し第一ばね部60bのばね変位を規制する規制部と、を有する。【選択図】図1
