To improve exhaust emission control performance and arrange an exhaust gas sensor without impairing detection accuracy of an exhaust gas component.SOLUTION: The invention includes: an engine (2) having a cylinder (21a) and a cylinder head (21b) disposed at the front side of a crank case (20); an exhaust pipe (6) attached to an exhaust port (22) of the cylinder head; a catalyst (50) disposed in the middle of the exhaust pipe; and an upstream side sensor (8) attached to the exhaust pipe at the upstream side of the catalyst. An axis of the cylinder is oriented in a substantially horizontal direction, and the exhaust port is provided at the lower side of the cylinder head. The exhaust pipe has a first pipeline part (62) extending in a vehicle width direction below the cylinder head. The catalyst is disposed in the first pipeline part so that its axial direction is oriented to the vehicle width direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
