To provide a base isolation structure which makes an elevator shaft difficult to be damaged.SOLUTION: A base isolation structure 10 has: a lower structure 12 in which a pit 20 is formed; a seismic isolator 14 that is installed on the upper surface 12U of the lower structure 12; an upper structure 16 that is supported on the seismic isolator 14; and a plurality of elevator shafts 22, 24 that are suspended in parallel into the pit 20 from the upper structure 16 and arranged so as to be separated from the wall surface (wall body 12W) of the pit 20.
