To allow for easy and highly accurate diagnosis of the state of an LCX laid along an orbit.SOLUTION: A state diagnostic device includes a vertical polarization antenna 21 configured to receive electromagnetic wave of vertical polarization radiated from an LCX 100, a horizontal polarization antenna 22 configured to receive electromagnetic wave of horizontal polarization radiated from the LCX 100, a ratio calculation section, and a diagnostic information generation section. The ratio calculation section calculates the field strength ratio, i.e., the ratio of vertical polarization strength and horizontal polarization strength. The diagnostic information generation section generates diagnostic information indicating the state of the LCX 100, based on the field strength ratio calculated by the ratio calculation section.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
