To provide a safety device for an elevator, whose configuration can be achieved without using a governor rope and which can be improved in reliability by ensuring mechanical operation of an emergency-stop actuation device.SOLUTION: An emergency-stop actuation device comprises: a pair of pulleys 5A, 5B rotating around rotation shafts 6A, 6B, respectively, in contact with a guide rail 1 on both sides of the guide rail 1; a pair of encoders 3A, 3B arranged near the emergency-stop actuation device 4 without governor ropes and rotating around the rotation shafts 6A, 6B, respectively; and a lifting link device 8 mechanically driving both slide members 7A, 7B toward a gripping side by being released when a car reaches an abnormal lowering speed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

    【課題】ガバナロープを使用することなく構成できると共に、機械的に非常止め装置を確実に動作させて、信頼性を向上させることができるようにしたエレベーター装置の安全装置を提供する。【解決手段】ガイドレール1の両側にガイドレール1と接触しながらそれぞれ回転軸6A,6Bを中心に回転する一対のプーリ5A,5Bと、ガバナロープを持たず、かつ非常止め装置4の近傍に配置され、かつ、各回転軸6A,6Bをそれぞれ中心に回転する一対のエンコーダ3A,3Bを設け、乗りかごの異常下降速度に達したときに釈放されて両摺動材7A,7Bを機械的に把持側に駆動する引上リンク装置8を設けた。【選択図】図1
