To distribute stress acting via a side frame on a cross-member.SOLUTION: A cross-member 20 is formed by a metal flat plate connecting a pair of side frames 10 and 11 therebetween each having a U-shaped cross-section and extending in a front to back direction of a vehicle. The cross-member includes one end portion 22 in a longitudinal direction coupled to the side frame 10 which is one of the side frames, the other end portion 23 in the longitudinal direction coupled to the side frame 11 which is the other of the side frames, and a small thickness intermediate portion 24 formed entirely at the center in the longitudinal direction and having a thickness smaller than thickness of each of one end portion 22 and the other end portion 23.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
