To provide a technique for efficiently and appropriately updating software of a plurality of mutually cooperating control apparatuses.SOLUTION: A software update apparatus includes a writing indication unit that instructs a control apparatus to write update software transmitted from a server apparatus in a second area provided separately from a first area in which currently used software is stored, a confirmation unit that confirms that the update software has been written in the second area to all the control apparatus constituting a cooperation control apparatus group among the plurality of control apparatuses to be updated with the software, and a switching instruction unit that instructs all the control apparatus constituting the cooperation control apparatus to perform switching processing to make the update software written in the second area a software to be operated in the future.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
