To provide a hydraulic brake device which can be downsized and simplified.SOLUTION: A hydraulic brake device 32' comprises: a master fluid passage 50 which is connected from a master cylinder 42 to a wheel brake 46 and is provided with a master shut-off valve 56; a return fluid passage 72 which is provided with a return passage opening valve 66 and is used for allowing working fluid supplied to the wheel brake to return to a reservoir 48 without passing through the master cylinder; and a controlled fluid pressure supply device 74 which supplies the working fluid from a high-pressure source to the wheel brake while adjusting and reducing a pressure of the working fluid by an electromagnetic control valve 64 provided in the return fluid passage. In the hydraulic brake device, there is provided a stroke simulator 54' in which a first fluid chamber 54c and a second fluid chamber 54j are formed while being defined by a piston. The first fluid chamber is connected to the master fluid passage, and the second fluid chamber is connected to the return fluid passage. It is not necessary to employ an opening/closing valve between the master fluid passage and the stroke simulator, so that the hydraulic brake device can be downsized and simplified.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6

    【課題】 小型化,簡素化を図ることができる液圧ブレーキ装置を提供する【解決手段】 マスタシリンダ42から車輪制動器46に繋がるとともにマスタ遮断弁56が設けられたマスタ液通路50と、帰還路開通弁66が設けられるとともに車輪制動器に供給される作動液をマスタシリンダを介さずにリザーバ48に帰還させるための帰還液通路72と、高圧源からの作動液を、帰還液通路に設けられた電磁式制御弁64によって減調圧しつつ車輪制動器に供給する制御液圧供給装置74とを備えた液圧ブレーキ装置32’において、ピストンによって第1液室54c,第2液室54jが区画形成されたストロークシミュレータ54’を設け、第1液室をマスタ液通路に、第2液室を帰還液通路に繋げる。マスタ液通路とストロークシミュレータとの間に開閉弁を採用する必要がなく、それによって、当該液圧ブレーキ装置の小型化,簡素化を図ることができる。【選択図】 図6
