PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide aircraft radome apparatuses and methods.SOLUTION: A radome is to be mounted on an aircraft. The radome includes an outer mold line (304) having a closure angle (316). The closure angle (316) is configured to reduce a footprint of the radome. The closure angle (316) is also configured to reduce a likelihood of a separated airflow from occurring proximately to a trailing portion (306) of the radome during a flight of the aircraft. The radome is to be mounted on the aircraft at a location that reduces a rate of change of a transverse cross-sectional area of the aircraft.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
