PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a detector that is provided in a tire, the power consumption of which can be suppressed, and which can detect tire air pressure early in required timing.SOLUTION: When receiving a request signal, a detector detects air pressure of a tire provided in a vehicle, and transmits an air pressure signal including air pressure information obtained by detection. The detector comprises a reception part that receives the request signal in a first state by operating in such a manner as to periodically switch between the first state in which the request signal can be received and a second state in which power consumption is lower than in the first state and in which the request signal is not received, and a control part that changes frequency of a shift to the first state.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

    【課題】タイヤに設けられる検出装置の消費電力を抑制することができ、所要のタイミングでタイヤ空気圧を早期に検出することができる検出装置を提供する。【解決手段】要求信号を受信した場合、車両に設けられたタイヤの空気圧を検出し、検出して得た空気圧の情報を含む空気圧信号を送信する検出装置であって、要求信号を受信可能な第1状態と、第1状態に比べて消費電力が低く、要求信号を受信しない第2状態とを周期的に切り替えて動作し、第1状態で前記要求信号を受信する受信部と、第1状態への切り替え頻度を変更する制御部とを備える。【選択図】図1
