PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cross joint which can restrict a bending angle while inhibiting weight increase with a simple structure, and to provide a propeller shaft.SOLUTION: A cross joint 1 includes: a flange yoke 2 including a base end part 21 and a pair of arm parts 22 extending from both sides of the base end part 21 and having shaft holes; a stub yoke 3; and a cross shaft 4 having a first shaft 41 which fits in the shaft holes of the flange yoke 2 and a second shaft 42 which fits in shaft holes 33 of the stub yoke 3. The cross joint 1 further includes a bending restriction part 5A which has a hole part 6 formed at the base end part 21 of the flange yoke 2 and a projection part 7, which is integrally formed with the cross shaft 4 and loosely fits in the hole part 6, and restricts a bending angle by the projection part 7 and the hole part 6 contacting with each other when the flange yoke 2 bends to a predetermined angle.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
