PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To notify a user, when a wireless power receiving device is approaching a wireless power transmitting device, of the approach to the wireless power transmitting device such that the notification is started from a position, where the wireless power receiving device is located, farther than is conventionally possible.SOLUTION: The wireless power receiving device comprises a detection circuit that detects a circuit characteristic value of a power receiving circuit, and a position detection circuit that obtains the state of the relative positions of a power receiving coil and a power transmitting coil. When the circuit characteristic value detected by the detection circuit exceeds a threshold value T1 which is set between the peak value of a peak P2 and a limit detectable value of the detection circuit, the position detection circuit determines that the power receiving coil exists near the surrounding area of a position suitable for power transmission with respect to the power transmitting coil. When the circuit characteristic value detected by the detection circuit exceeds a threshold value T2 which is set between the peak value of the peak P2 and the peak value of a peak P1, the position detection circuit calculates an electric power transmittable from the wireless power transmitting device on the basis of the circuit characteristic value detected by the detection circuit.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3

    【課題】ワイヤレス受電装置がワイヤレス送電装置に近づきつつある場合に、ワイヤレス受電装置が従来より遠い位置にあるときから、ユーザに対してワイヤレス送電装置への接近を報知することを実現する。【解決手段】ワイヤレス受電装置は、受電回路の回路特性値を検出する検出回路と、受電コイルと送電コイルとの相対位置の状態を把握する位置検出回路と、を備える。位置検出回路は、検出回路により検出された回路特性値がピークP2のピーク値と検出回路の検出可能限界値との間の値に設定されたしきい値T1を超えると、受電コイルが送電コイルに対して電力伝送に適した位置の周辺近傍に存在すると判定し、検出回路により検出された回路特性値がピークP2のピーク値とピークP1のピーク値との間に設定されたしきい値T2を超えると、検出回路により検出された回路特性値に基づいてワイヤレス送電装置からの伝送可能電力を算出する。【選択図】図3
