PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately obtain a stop angle of a significant point of a tire with respect to a reference point.SOLUTION: A tire testing method includes the steps of: applying a lubricating liquid to a bead part of a tire; detecting a phase of a reference point of the tire; detecting a phase of a rotational origin of a spindle at a common coordinate common to a coordinate representing the phase of the reference point; detecting a significant point present in the tire by conducting a tire test while rotating the tire by the spindle and detecting a phase from the rotational origin to the significant point; calculating a phase from the reference point to the significant point on the basis of the phase of the reference point, the phase of the rotational origin and the phase from the rotational origin to the significant point; storing information on the reference point at the common coordinate and information on the rotational origin at the common coordinate; and putting a mark on the tire at a peripheral position where the significant point is present.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 11
