PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pantograph which is excellent in both of stabilization of lifting power and reduction in aerodynamic sound and is equipped with a follow-up mechanism providing high followability, without impairing stable lifting power characteristics and low aerodynamic performance for a "collector head for reducing the aerodynamic sound" mounted on a railway vehicle that travels at a high speed.SOLUTION: A pantograph 1 comprises a collector head 3 mounted on a high-speed railway vehicle and collecting power by sliding with a trolley wire. The pantograph 1 comprises a liftable framework 5 installed on a roof 100 of the vehicle, a core member 31 rigidly installed at its top and extending in the sleeper direction, and a collector head 33 supported by the core member 31 via elastic members 35 and 34. The collector head 33 is divided into a plurality pieces in the sleeper direction, and its cross-sectional shape in a cross section vertical to the sleeper direction is a shell shape wrapping the core member 31.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
