PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an onboard structure of an air-cooled internal combustion engine capable of upgrading rigidity of a vehicle body frame by utilizing the engine body itself without especially employing a reinforcement member.SOLUTION: In an onboard structure of an air-cooled internal combustion engine, hanger bosses 42a, 42b, 42c, and 42d are coupled to a vehicle body frame 2 via case hanger members 11, 12, 13, and 14 respectively, and thereby a crank case 42 is borne by the vehicle body frame 2. Bilaterally symmetric parts near the margins of right and left flanks of a cylinder head 44 are cut out together with parts of cooling fins 44f, and thereby right and left hanger attachment bearing surfaces 44zf perpendicular to a crosswise level direction are formed. One ends of right and left head hanger members 15, 15 are fastened to hanger attachment seats 44z, 44z of the cylinder head 44 on which the right and left hanger attachment bearing surfaces 44zf, 44zf are formed. The other ends of the right and left head hanger members are fastened to the vehicle body frame 2.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2

    【課題】特に補強部材を用いることなく機関本体自体を利用して車体フレームの剛性を向上させることができる空冷式内燃機関の車載構造を供する。【解決手段】クランクケース42は、ハンガーボス部42a,42b,42c,42dが車体フレーム2にケースハンガー部材11,12,13,14を介して連結されて車体フレーム2に支持され、シリンダヘッド44の左右側面の側縁近傍の左右対称箇所が冷却フィン44fの一部とともに切削されることにより左右水平方向に垂直な左右ハンガー取付座面44zf,44zfが形成され、シリンダヘッド44の左右のハンガー取付座面44zf,44zfが形成されたハンガー取付座部44z,44zにそれぞれ一端が締結された左右ヘッドハンガー部材15,15の他端が、それぞれ車体フレーム2に締結される空冷式内燃機関の車載構造である。【選択図】図2
