PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elevator braking device that enables a braking unit to collide with a support unit in parallel, and an elevator.SOLUTION: An elevator is provided with an elevator braking device. The elevator braking device is provided with a plurality of force applying units that apply a force parallel to a force applied to a braking unit by a driving unit to the braking unit when the braking unit moves from a braking position toward a standby position to collide with a support unit, and each of the force applying units is provided with an elastic part that is elastically deformed to apply a force to the braking unit, and an adjustment part that can adjust the elastic deformation amount of the elastic part when the braking unit collides with the support unit.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
