PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To diagnose a fault in a current breaker while avoiding the interruption of power supply when a vehicle is running.SOLUTION: Provided is a fault diagnosis device 50, arranged in an electricity conduction path 35 of a power storage element 31 mounted in a vehicle, for diagnosing a fault in a pair of current breakers RL1, RL2 connected in parallel, wherein, while the engine of the vehicle is stopped, the process of switching one of the pair of current breakers RL1, RL2 that is to be diagnosed from an open to a closed state or from a closed to an open state and closing the other of the current breakers RL1, RL2 is carried out, the end-to-end voltages of the current breakers RL1, RL2 are detected after the switching process when a larger current than a threshold is flowing in the current breakers RL1, RL2, and the presence of a fault in the current breakers RL1, RL2 is determined on the basis of the detected end-to-end voltages.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4

    【課題】車両走行中に電力供給が遮断されてしまうことを回避しつつ、電流遮断装置の故障診断を行う。【解決手段】車両に搭載された蓄電素子31の通電路35に配置され、並列に接続された一対の電流遮断装置RL1、RL2の故障を診断する故障診断装置50であって、前記車両のエンジン停止中に、前記一対の電流遮断装置RL1、RL2のうち、診断対象となる一方の電流遮断装置RL1、RL2をオープンからクローズ又はクローズからオープンに切り換え、他方の電流遮断装置RL1、RL2をクローズする切換処理を行い、前記切換処理後、前記電流遮断装置RL1、RL2に閾値よりも大きい電流が流れている時に、前記電流遮断装置RL1、RL2の両端電圧を検出し、検出した両端電圧に基づいて、前記電流遮断装置RL1、RL2の故障の有無を判定する。【選択図】図4
