PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an overcurrent and enable continuous operation without causing a failure when a series resonant circuit consisting of a capacitor and a transformer is used.SOLUTION: A power conversion device of one embodiment comprises a first power supply circuit, a second power supply circuit, and a control section. The first power supply circuit has an insulation circuit insulating first and second switching circuits and connecting them. The first power supply circuit drives the first switching circuit or the second switching circuit according to variations of a voltage of a DC power transmission path and generates a first voltage. The second power supply circuit adds a second voltage for addition to the first voltage. The control section stops driving of first to third switching circuits when the voltage of the DC power transmission path is greater than a sum of maximum output voltages of the first voltage and the second voltage.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
