PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catenary cable suitable for an overhead power line for a railroad line where further acceleration of a railroad vehicle is conducted, and to provide a method for manufacturing the same and an overhead power line including the catenary cable.SOLUTION: A catenary cable 1 includes a twisted wire in which a plurality of element wires 2 are twisted each other and hangs a trolley wire. The element wires 2 are made of a copper-tin alloy. The element wire 2 has a diameter of 3 mm or less. The element wire 2 has a tensile strength of 500 MPa or more and a cross sectional area of 150 mmor more and 200 mmor less.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
