PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an occurrence of abnormality in a mooring rope due to an increase in tension and to be capable of controlling a depth while suppressing power consumption.SOLUTION: An underwater floating type device having a mooring rope and a body unit 10 moored by the mooring rope floats in water flow and includes: a tension measuring unit 16 for measuring the tension on the mooring rope; and a control unit 17 for determining whether or not control is necessary to reduce tension on the mooring rope based on tension applied to the mooring rope measured by the tension measuring unit 16 and a predetermined tolerance, and controlling to reduce the tension applied on the mooring rope based on the determined result.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
