PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fail-safe structure of a tail pipe, in which heat damage in the tail pipe periphery is prevented, even when bolt loosening occurs due to, for example, vehicle body vibration such that the tail pipe is detached.SOLUTION: A fail-safe structure of a tail pipe includes: an ATS 60 arranged on a lateral side of a frame 10 of a vehicle 1 in order to conduct after-treatment of exhaust gas discharged from an engine 50 of the vehicle 1; a tail pipe 61 forming an exhaustion flow path for the exhaust gas discharged from the ATS 60 in order to discharge the gas outside of the vehicle; and an insulator 62 arranged so as to partly cover the tail pipe 61. The insulator 62 is fixed to the ATS 60, and even when the tail pipe 61 is missing, an exhaustion flow path for the exhaust gas discharged from the ATS 60 is shaped to have the same flow path as at least a part of the exhaustion flow path formed by the tail pipe 61.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
