PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel life jacket which can be stored in lightweight, low bulk and compact state and which autonomously inflates, automatically is air-supplied and becomes quickly a predetermined shape at the time of use.SOLUTION: A life jacket 1 comprises a core material 3 composed of an open-cell foam 2 and a waterproof exterior bag body 4 air-tightly housing the core material 3. The exterior bag body 4 comprises an on-off valve 5 to regulate the air flow between the inside and outside. The foam 2 has more than 40% of impact resilience according to JIS K6400-3, and has a plurality of the through holes 6. In the opened state of the on-off valve 5, the wound body is formed by winding the core material 3 with the exterior bag body 4 from one end 1a while compressing them. The wound body 10 is kept restrained in the wound state by a releasable restraint member 11. When the restraint of the restraint member 11 is released by opening the on-off valve 5, the core material 3 is autonomously inflated and elastically restored to its original shape, and air is supplied into the exterior bag body 4 through the on-off valve 5 during the autonomous inflation.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

    【課題】軽量で嵩低くコンパクトな状態で保管でき、使用時には自律的に膨張し且つ自動的に給気がなされ、速やかに所定の形状となる新規な救命胴衣を提供する。【解決手段】連続気泡の発泡体2からなる芯材3と、芯材3を気密的に収納する防水性の外装袋体4とを備えた救命胴衣1である。外装袋体4は、内外間の空気の流通を規制する開閉弁5を備える。発泡体2は、JIS K6400−3に準ずる反発弾性が40%以上であり、複数の透孔6…を有している。開閉弁5を開とした状態で芯材3を外装袋体4とともに一端部1aより圧縮させながら巻き込み巻装体とされ、且つ、この巻装体10は解除可能な拘束部材11によって巻装状態に拘束維持がなされ、開閉弁5を開状態として拘束部材11による拘束を解除すると、芯材3が元の形状に自律膨張して弾性復元するとともに、この自律膨張の際に外装袋体4内に開閉弁5を通じて給気がなされるように構成されている。【選択図】図1
