PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for tracking an unmanned aerial vehicle with a surveying instrument capable reliably detecting the unmanned aerial vehicle which is lost from sight.SOLUTION: A UAV searching control part 200 used for searching an unmanned aerial vehicle flying on a predetermined route, includes: an estimation part that estimates a direction of the unmanned aerial vehicle viewed from a surveying device, which measures a position of the unmanned aerial vehicle at specific time using a laser beam based on positional data of the surveying device and data of a predetermined route; and a searching control part that controls the surveying device to search the unmanned aerial vehicle based on the direction estimated by the estimation section.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
