PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power storage device for a railway vehicle which can easily detect ground fault.SOLUTION: A power storage device for a railway vehicle of an embodiment includes: multiple battery modules; a housing; a first connection wire; and a first detection part. The multiple battery modules are electrically connected in a serial manner. The housing houses the multiple battery modules. The first connection wire electrically connects an electric connection part between two battery modules included in the multiple battery modules with the housing. The first detection part is provided in the first connection wire and detects a value regarding a voltage between the electric connection part and the housing.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
