PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a road-vehicle communication system, roadside communication device, onboard communication device, and road-vehicle communication method making it possible to suppress an increase in a traffic when the roadside communication device has to transmit information that differs from one onboard communication device to another.SOLUTION: A road-vehicle communication system of the present embodiment includes an onboard communication device and roadside communication device. The onboard communication device includes a vehicle information transmission unit that transmits vehicle information concerning a vehicle. The roadside communication device includes a storage unit that stores plural data items which should be transmitted to the onboard communication device, a vehicle information receiving unit that receives the vehicle information sent from the onboard communication device, a transmission data production unit that produces transmission data by combining the plural data items stored in the storage unit, and a data transmission unit that transmits the data, which is produced by the transmission data production unit, to the onboard communication device. The roadside communication device further includes a combination number adjustment unit that adjusts the number of data items, which are combined by the transmission data production unit, on the basis of the vehicle information received by the vehicle information receiving unit.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
