PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a route information presentation method which, only upon input of destination information, advises route information including information about an entraining station close to the present position and an alighting station close to a destination, and which presents a direct distance to the entraining station, a direct distance to the destination after leaving the alighting station, and a proximity status.SOLUTION: The route information presentation method includes the steps of: inputting destination information; acquiring present position information; acquiring route information that includes an entraining station close to the present position and an alighting station close to a destination from a prescribed route search server or built-in route search means; computing the direct distance from the present position to the entraining station and the destination; and determining whether or not the entraining station or the alighting station is passed through, with the direct distance from the present position to the entraining station or the destination, etc., displayed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
