PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle detection device capable of continuing to separately track and detect vehicles traveling along a lane.SOLUTION: A vehicle detection device 20B includes an entry side vehicle detector 201 for detecting a vehicle A at an entry detection position D1, a stop position vehicle detector 206 for detecting the vehicle A at a stop detecting position D3 specified on the downstream side, and an intermediate position vehicle detector 208 for detecting the vehicle A at an intermediate detection position D4 specified between the entry detection position D1 and the stop detecting position D3. In addition, triggered by the detection of vehicle at the entry detection position D1, the vehicle detection device 20B associates the vehicle detected at the entry detection position D1 with the vehicle first detected at the intermediate detection position D4 after detection of the vehicle at the entry detection position D1 as the same vehicle, and further associates the vehicle detected at the intermediate detection position D4 with the vehicle detected first at the stop detection position D3 after detection of the vehicle at the intermediate detection position D4 as the same vehicle.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
