PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery control system capable of accurately estimating the correspondence between negative electrode closed circuit potential and current of a battery with a low arithmetic load.SOLUTION: A battery control system comprises: a battery state estimating unit 51 which calculates estimation values of a plurality of model parameters Rand the like of an equivalent circuit model, positive electrode open circuit potential OCPc, and negative electrode closed circuit potential OCPa; an exchange current arithmetic unit 551 which calculates an estimation value of exchange current iin the battery on the basis of the estimation values of the model parameters; an activated overvoltage calculating unit 552 which estimates the correspondence between current I and activated overvoltage ηof the battery by using the estimation value of the exchange current i; and an estimating unit 556 of negative electrode closed circuit potential which estimates the correspondence between the negative electrode closed circuit potential OCPa and the current I by using the correspondence between the estimation value of the negative electrode open circuit potential OCPa, the current I estimated by the activated overvoltage calculating unit 552, and the activated overvoltage η.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
