PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brake gear which achieves highly responsive pressure rise characteristics without depending on pump discharge ability.SOLUTION: A brake gear of the invention includes: a small diameter piston, a medium diameter piston, and a large diameter piston which operate in a cylinder in conjunction with operation of a brake pedal; a first pressure chamber partitioned by an outer peripheral surface of the small diameter piston, an end surface of the medium diameter piston, and an inner peripheral surface of the cylinder; a second pressure chamber partitioned by an outer peripheral surface of the medium diameter piston, an end surface of the large diameter piston, and an inner peripheral surface of the cylinder; and a fluid pressure source which supplies a brake fluid to the first pressure chamber and the second pressure chamber; a first oil passage connecting the fluid pressure source with the first pressure chamber; a second oil passage connecting the fluid pressure source with the second pressure chamber; and a selector valve provided at the first oil passage.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
