PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a supercharged engine which can inhibit expansion of a width dimension in an air suction/discharge direction of an engine body and enables an intake system to be compactly arranged.SOLUTION: An intake system 3 has: a supercharger (a supercharger 35) disposed at the first side surface (an upper surface) side of a cylinder block 7; an intake chamber 36A disposed at the end part side of the cylinder head 8 side of an engine body 2; a first intake pipe 61 which is disposed at the first side surface (an upper surface) side of the engine body 2 and connects the supercharger with the intake chamber 36A; and an intake branch pipe 36B which is disposed at the first side surface (the upper surface) side of the engine body 2 and connects the intake chamber 36A with the cylinder head 8.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
