PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an energy consumption prediction device and an energy consumption prediction method with which it is possible to predict the energy consumption of a vehicle.SOLUTION: According to an embodiment, the energy consumption prediction device comprises a learning data acquisition unit, a cluster classification unit, a model generation unit, a predicting data acquisition unit and a prediction unit. The learning data acquisition unit acquires a plurality of learning data provided with battery information and motion information that includes the energy consumption of a vehicle. The cluster classification unit classifies the learning data into a plurality of clusters in accordance with a classification standard. The model generation unit generates a model that predicts the energy consumption of a vehicle in each cluster. The predicting data acquisition unit acquires predicting data for predicting the energy consumption of a vehicle. The prediction unit determines the cluster of the predicting data acquired by the predicting data acquisition unit, and predicts the energy consumption of a vehicle from the predicting data in accordance with the model of the determined cluster that is generated by the model generation unit.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
