PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an object moving apparatus that realizes both a reduced thickness and higher strength.SOLUTION: An object moving apparatus D includes an object 1 to be moved, a cable 2, a drum member 3, a driving source 4, and a base member 5. The base member 5 includes a guide rail part 51 guiding the object 1 to be moved in a lengthwise direction D1, direction switching parts 52a, 52b, and a drum member storage part 53. The guide rail part 51 includes a protruded strip part 51a extending in a direction of movement of the object 1 to be moved, on which the object 1 to be moved slides while being engaged. The base member 5 includes an extended wall part 57 extending along the protruded strip part 51a and constituting a cable storage recess Cv2 for storing the cable 2 that extends from the object 1 to be moved toward the direction switching parts 52a, 52b.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
